Then she pursued a new passion and will discuss both of them at the latest Maker-In-Residence program at the Danbury Library.
As Maker-in-Residence in September, Eliz will utilize her experiences in television, online entrepreneur, and website creation to facilitate two weekly workshops: “Creative Storytelling on the Web” on Tuesday nights and “Digital Filmmaking Workshops” on Thursday nights.
Both workshops will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The workshops are free and open to anyone 14 years and older. Registration is required online at this link, or by calling (203)- 797-4527.
The workplace became an unhealthy environment for Eliz while working in television and she felt unsatisfied and unhappy with the direction her life and career were heading. She made a decision: To change her life. Embarking on a journey to search for more happiness in her life, Eliz left her career and life in New York and settled in Connecticut. She decided to start a company to help build an online community of women that grows confidence, happiness, and positivity.
Now, she coaches hundreds of women to find confidence and self-love through powerful narrative story telling. Her online video courses, self-improvement guides and narrative stories on WhatisPerfection.com using her skills as a video producer and reporter, she is now tells stories of her own life to help inspire change and motivate women to be their best selves.
The role of the Danbury Library’s Maker-in-Residence is to create, with the help of community influence. This influence can come from library customers, members of the Connecticut Science Center & Danbury Library Teen Innovation Program, library staff, and community members. These entities may be involved through active participation in the creation of a project, artwork, presentation, or performance, or by helping to shape their creation through an exchange of ideas. The Danbury Library Maker-in-Residence Program will feature a new maker each month.
